This song was inspired by our friend Marie Jo Miera Smerechniak, from New Mexico, who left us last fall just shy of her 90th birthday. Not long ago we were at a gathering at her house and our son Zia was sitting next to Marie Jo. Zia asked her if he could get her anything, and, with her typical radiant smile, Marie Jo responded "No thanks, honey, I just want to be in your orbit." Written in collaboration with Argentine singer-songwriter Santiago Alonso, this is a love song. Not for one person, but for everyone we love.
